Here is a special experience that came to my mind just now that I had with my daughter, Holly, when she was in the first grade in 1992:
When I was tucking Holly into bed one night, I had a little talk with her as we usually did at her bedtime when she stayed at my home and Holly told me about how she was in her classroom one day and her teacher had left the room and her first grade classmates had divided themselves into two groups, arguing among themselves as to whether or not...there really is an Easter Bunny. Holly took the side of believing that the Easter Bunny is real and she offered the following "proof" to the doubters:

Over the recent Easter weekend, Holly's mother and stepfather went to southwest Missouri to visit her great-grandmother "Hi Shug" and when Holly talked to her mother later over the phone, Holly expressed great concern to her mother that no lettuce or milk was left out for the Easter Bunny when he made his rounds. Holly's mother assured her that she did set out lettuce and milk for the Easter Bunny before she left and, sure enough, Holly told me that after her mother came back home a few days later, the lettuce and milk were, indeed, gone.
And then Holly's voice really eased up a lot and she light-heartedly told me, "I know that it's kind of funny for a rabbit to talk and all that," (leading me to quickly bury my face in the bed's mattress so Holly couldn't see me laughing very hard!!----though I'm sure she could certainly hear me), but Holly pleaded with me, "But how do you explain the lettuce and milk being gone?!"
